Fingernails Are Annoying — A Dude’s Perspective

I never really understood the importance of fingernails.
As a guy, I don’t really see the point of their function.
I can scratch with them. But really, am I a cat?
I can bite them. I know, disgusting right?
I can cut them when they get long. But why even have them in the first place?
On the flip side, fingernails at least have some sort of function for the ladies.
My wife always has a good excuse to get her nails done because of their aesthetic value.
But when I look at my fingernails, I only see imperfections.
Some nails are straighter than others. Yeah, okay.
Some nails are brighter than others. So what?
I mean, seriously, why do we have them?
